Altair Compute FarmAltair SETI Farm is twelve Dell OptiPlex Gxi 5133L (P1 @ 133MHz) running LRP Bering Linux, four Compaq Deskpro (P2 @ 400 MHz) running RedHat Linux, all connected to a 24 port 3Com SuperStack II. Other SETI@home machines on the LAN are a HP Pavillion (P3 @ 1000 MHz) running WinME, a HP Media PC running WinXP, plus a few miscellaneous old PCs, all connected via few small hubs thru a SPI router to share a Westell DSL modem. Inbound bandwidth is about 3 Mbps. |
